Learning outcomes and development goals: K1 L Wetenschappelijk-disciplinaire basiskennis bezitten en inzicht hebben in de polyvalente vorming voor de industriële ingenieur K2 L Wetenschappelijk-disciplinaire basiskennis bezitten en inzicht hebben in één van de gebieden op basis van de gekozen afstudeerrichting I1 L Problemen analyseren en oplossen I2 L Ontwerpen en/of ontwikkelen G2 L Communiceren met vakgenoten en niet-vakgenoten G3 L Kritisch reflecteren Objectives: Understand and analyse movements and forces of a single rigid body as well as systems of multiple rigid bodies in a plane (2D) The student can calculate velocities and accelerations of motion in rigid bodies and compound motions of mechanism-parts. The student knows various methods for solving dynamics problems and can apply these to plane dynamics (Newton's 2nd law, work and energy, impulse and momentum). On the basis of these characteristics, the student can calculate forces and moments needed for accelerations (and vice versa) on mechanism parts for translation, general plane motion, and rotation about a fixed axis.  The student can communicate with colleagues according to standard methods and is critical of the results obtained and the method chosen.
