Learning outcomes and development goals K1L Have a basic scientific-disciplinary knowledge and understanding of the polyvalent training of Engineering Technology K2L Have a basic scientific-disciplinary knowledge and understanding in one of the areas based on the chosen specialization I1L Problem analysis and solving I2L Designing and/or developing Objectives On the one hand, this course aims to familiarize students with techniques/technologies outside chemistry and biochemistry but which are widely used in practice. On the other hand, mass transfer is discussed in more detail, as well as practical examples and applications of both mass and heat transfer. The student knows the operation of piston and plunger pumps, centrifugal pumps and knows the description of some special pump types (K1L, K2L). The student knows the operation of compressors and knows the description of some compressor types (K1L, K2L). The student knows some practical aspects of working with steam (K1L, K2L). The student knows the basics and some practical aspects of a cooling cycle (K1L,K2L). The student is familiar with the concepts of mass transfer (K2L). Basic theories of heat and mass transfer are used in a series of practical examples, applications and exercises and the use of experiential rules (K2L, I2L). The student can think analytically, process and interpret data efficiently and in a scientific way (I1L). With the help of the theory offered, problems are presented through the tutorials, so that training objectives are further practiced I1L and I2L.
