Aircraft Construction and Lightweight Structures
Description
LEARNING OUTCOMES MK2L Having advanced and up-to-date scientific-disciplinary knowledge and insight into the field of electromechanics: drive technology, automation, energy conversion, production techniques and management, mechanical design including choice of materials, vehicle technology and aviation technology MK3L Possess scientific-disciplinary basic knowledge and insight into one or more of the following professional competences, in order to function in a broad social context as an industrial engineer in society MI1L Troubleshooting and troubleshooting MI2L Design and/or develop MI3L Application-Oriented Investigations MG1L Acquire and process information MG2L Communicating with peers and non-colleagues MG3L Critical reflection OBJECTIVES The student knows the mechanical loads that affect aircraft structures. The student can perform a stress analysis on the primary components of an aircraft structure in a good approximation. The student can estimate the dangers of instability of parts of aircraft constructions. The student can perform a lifetime calculation using the method of fracture mechanics. The student can build a finite element model of a component of an aircraft structure, perform the analysis and interpret the results. The student is able to calculate a composite structure.
