The focus of the course “Health Entrepreneurship” is less on the technologies, but more on the business aspects of innovative health applications. Students are confronted with all the steps and hurdles that have to be taken to go from an idea to a market-ready product. This involves many topics such as regulations and standards, approvals, quality control, clinical trials, e-Health, ethics, and business models. • Students have a basic understanding on all processes involved to turn an innovative idea into a market ready product or service (MI5) • Students can gather and process relevant information related to these processes for a specific product or service (MG1) • Students are able to communicate with experts on these processes (MG2) • Students know the generic approaches to deal with ethical issues related to health care technologies (MI4)
