Applied Rheology
Description
The objective of this course is to develop a qualitative understanding of flow phenomena in non-Newtonian fluids. This involves the ability to apply specific rheological models and critically assess rheological measurement techniques for given applications. Additionally, the course aims to establish correlations between fundamental rheological properties and the characteristics of polymers and colloidal suspensions. The objective of the polymer processing section is to provide a technical-scientific description of processing methods, with a focus on how process parameters can be adjusted to control the final material structure.
