Art Appreciation

Description

At the end of the course “Art Appreciation”, students will be able to: identify and contextualise the history and theories of art in public contexts discussed in the course—how and where art appears and who the audience is; describe and critically analyse the important cases of discussed artworks that thematise the public aspect of visual art from relevant perspectives (such as decolonisation) and the discourse that exists on the theme (publications, online information); place the planned excursions or guest lectures in the context of the course.
