Southeast Asian Politics

Description

This course provides basic knowledge of politics in Southeast Asia, one of the most diverse and dynamic regions in the world. In the first part of the lecture, we trace the historical origins of the various political systems in Southeast Asian countries, and in the second part, we examine Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and others individually. We also discuss the implications for politics and economic development that can be applied within and outside Southeast Asia.
