Description

IE.1101 Digital System (APP) / Electronics and Signal GENERAL INFORMATION Module title: Digital System (APP) / Electronics and Signal Module code: IE.1101/IE.1201 Module coordinators: Frédéric AMIEL, Mariam CAMARA, Maria Trocan, Florence Rossant ECTS: 12 credits Teamwork: yes Keywords: microcontroller, filtering, sensor, motor control PRESENTATION Digital technology is now ubiquitous in our society. Its omnipresence, both in our daily lives and across all economic sectors, is revolutionizing the way we interact with our environment. In this context, digital engineers—who design these communication systems—constantly adapt by learning emerging languages, techniques, and technologies. They rely on a foundation of fundamental skills, the acquisition of which is the focus of this multidisciplinary project spanning the entire first year of the engineering cycle. Digital signals are, of course, at the core of the information transmitted by digital systems. In multimedia, we handle images, videos, and audio signals, all of which are digital signals. More generally, connected objects can be equipped with sensors that measure a wide variety of physical signals, which must be transmitted, processed, and interpreted to provide usable information. A connected object is an electronic system composed of
