- Introduction to Human Rights and Social Work: origin, evolution, contemporary debate on Human Rights, international and regional institutions, and various thematic areas relevant to Social Work. - Deepen knowledge of fundamental instruments—universal and regional—for the application/enforcement of Human Rights and institutional/operational issues pertinent to the effective application of Human Rights by Social Work. Learning objectives include: - Stimulate reflexivity in Social Work in analyzing and interpreting social reality; - Formulate Social Work intervention proposals within a theoretical and conceptual framework grounded in Human Rights; - Develop analysis matrices and construct indicators promoting human rights-informed Social Work intervention; - Plan and monitor actions for the enforcement of Human Rights; - Experience research methods and techniques in Social Work in an interdisciplinary relationship with Social and Human Sciences. 1.
