Description

The objective of the course Security in Networks and Information Systems (SRSI) is to provide a comprehensive set of knowledge related to information security management within the context of information systems and digital networks. With the growing dependence on technology, cybersecurity is at the top of concerns for clients and companies. The need to create high levels of security and trustworthy business relationships is a priority for many organizations. This course covers a range of security topics including information security management, cryptography, access control, digital network security, application security, operational security, physical security, incident management, data privacy, and business continuity planning. By the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand and determine the security environment in information systems; 2. Comprehend and define access control policies; 3. Understand and apply certain security controls and standards; 4. Provide advice on information and network security; 5. Develop and implement security plans and policies; 6. Review and advise on some security operations; 7. Design plans that ensure business continuity and resilience; 8. Understand and explain the role of cryptography and data privacy in information security; 9. Establish policies and procedures
