Flight mechanics

Description

The main objective of this course is to understand aircraft configuration aerodynamics, performance, stability and control. This course allows student to estimate an aircraft’s aerodynamic characteristics from geometric and inertial properties. At the end of this course, the student should be able to analyze linear and nonlinear dynamic systems, recognize airplane modes of longitudinal and lateral motion and their significance, and knowing what to do for making the airplane more stable, and answering to flying qualities criteria.
