Description
OBJECTIVES A2 level: o Grammatical tools, expressions and vocabulary This course includes a welcoming module, French to understand and express simple messages language classes and cultural workshops and o Topics related to personal relations and visits in order to help students adapt the host belongings, immediate environment and shared country and make them familiar with their new domain of interest environment. o Interacting in simple and short conversations French classes based on levels: B1 level: o Classes will be set up to help students achieve o Grammatical tools, expressions and an A1, A2, B1 or B2 level by the end of the vocabulary to understand the main points of semester, according to their level when arriving. clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, Cultural aspects: etc. o Learning about French culture and society o Producing simple connected text on topics o Discovering a new environment which are familiar or of personal interest. o Describing experiences and events, dreams, Organization: hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and o Courses: 78h (beginners) / 72h (other explanations for opinions and plans. levels) o Workshops and visits: 15h B2 level: o Pupitrage: 10h o Grammatical tools, expressions and o Personal work: 10h vocabulary to understand the main ideas of o Total: 113 hours (beginners) complex text on both concrete and abstract 107 hours (other levels) topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Evaluation: o Interacting with a degree of fluency and Continuous assessments (50%) spontaneity that makes regular interaction with A final written exam (50%): 2h native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. o Producing clear, detailed text on a wide range US CREDIT HOURS / ECTS: 3 / 6 of subjects and explaining a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. CONTENTS Cultural matters: French language: o Workshops on French culture o Cultural Visits (The city of Toulouse, A1 level: Aéroscopia, Cité de l’espace, museums …) o Basic grammar, familiar expressions and vocabulary to use in a concrete context to satisfy immediate needs: Course director: Dorothée Lamour - Introducing oneself, introducing someone - Asking and answering questions - Topics related to personal relations and belongings (family, friends, accommodation…) o Communication in everyday situations (asking in a polite way, doing some shopping, ordering in a restaurant…)
