Logistics Information Systems

Description

Logistics and ICT are inextricably linked. Without fast and reliable information, it is not possible to make the right decisions about the flow of goods. This course covers the information and communication systems used for this purpose, such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Warehouse Management Systems, Transport Management Systems and Advanced Planning Systems. It also looks at how to arrive at a proper selection of the right software systems for an organisation. A quarter of this course is aimed at practice oriented learning about data acquisition, data processing and data reporting techniques. This course is common to all graduate programmes.
