Description

This course will address the political and legal mechanisms of European integration and will focus on current European affairs through systematic analysis. The following topics will be covered in turn: the rule of law crisis in Europe, European defense, institutional reform, completion of the internal market, and CSR policies. Key Topics: European Union, rule of law crisis, internal market, social Europe, fight against global warming, economic governance, and AI regulation. Course organization - detailed outline: 6 sessions of 3 hours, once a week over two months. The program is structured around 5 themes: 1. The Union's values facing democratic deficit and rule of law crisis 2. Reform of Union institutions and more generally the future of the Union 3. The internal market 4. Building European defense 5. Due diligence duties + parliamentary simulation 6.
