Fundamentals of mechanics for composite materials
Description
Since a composite material has high specific stiffness and high specific strength, it has been widely used in various structural applications such as airplane, automobile vehicle, infrastructure, spaceship and machine tool structure. Especially, recently, owing to the increasing fuel efficiency regulation, the weight of the automobile should be reduced. Therefore, understanding of the mechanical behavious of the anistropic composite materials are needed. In this course, the classical laminate plate theory, composite failure model, micro-mechanics of the short fiber composite materials will be studied.
