Description

This is a first introductory level course in optimization theory and its applications. This course focuses on optimization theory (including convex analysis), optimization algorithms, and optimization applications. We will study, basic calculus and linear algebra, unconstrained optimization and algorithms, constrained optimization and algorithms, linear programming and simplex, and their applications to engineering problems.
