Economics and Quantitative Methods for Managers
Description
This course introduces students to the basic economic principles (both micro and macro) and quantitative methods concepts with particular emphasis on applied techniques. A greater knowledge of these principles and techniques equip students with relevant foundational skills to analyse the general economy in a dynamic manner with particular relation to the implications, opportunities and challenges an ever changing economic landscape presents. The application of concepts provides for a better understanding of business decision-making at firm level and policy making and governmental level. Students completing this course as part of the Accounting (Extended) major will have assumed knowledge of 1006GBS Why Money Matters.
