Description

This course introduces students to the principles of programming intelligent robots through simulation. Students will learn how to control actuators, process data from sensors, implement path planning and obstacle avoidance, and design decision-making systems. Concepts from computer vision and machine learning will be introduced to show how artificial intelligence can enhance robotic perception and behaviour. Through a mix of lectures and simulator-based workshops, students will gain practical experience in developing and testing robotic systems in a safe virtual environment. Ethical and safety considerations in robotics and AI will also be discussed. The course concludes with a project in which students design and present an AI-enabled robotic application.
