Description

The course introduces basic vector algebra in two and three dimensions, matrices, complex numbers, probability and revises basic functions. It provides a foundation in the mathematical sciences for later studies in science and engineering. Prior Assumed: Successful completion at senior level Mathematical Methods or equivalent study over four semesters of a high school subject that includes the study of linear algebra . For students who do not have this level of mathematics background, it is strongly recommended you first complete 1017SCG Foundation Mathematics. Incompatible: 1010ENG Engineering Mathematics 1 NOTE: this course is only offered on-campus, and students are expected to attend exams and weekly classes on campus, in person.
