Description

This course covers the postulates of Quantum Mechanics and bra/ket Dirac notation and perturbation theory. This knowledge is then applied to fundamentally important physical systems including one electron atoms, multielectron atoms, magnetic dipole moments, selection rules, optical transitions, Einstein A and B coefficients, simple laser theory, line broadening mechanisms, nuclear models and nuclear decay (alpha, beta and gamma decay).
