Management Accounting and Strategy
Description
This course examines aspects of managerial accounting for planning, control and decision-making within organisations. In particular, managerial applications of technical, conceptual, behavioural and judgemental aspects of managerial accounting in planning, decision-making and performance management are emphasised. The course presents an opportunity for students to develop their analytical skills through improving their awareness of the business environment and the need to implement different strategy, use different types of accounting and other information for strategic decision making, performance and sustainability management. This involves more than the application of quantitative accounting techniques. Excel program will be introduced for preparing master budget.
