Engineering Mathematics 1
Description
The course introduces basic vector algebra in two and three dimensions, matrices, complex numbers, probability and revises basic functions. It provides a foundation in the mathematical sciences for later studies in science and engineering. Prior Assumed: Successful completion at senior level Mathematical Methods or equivalent study over four semesters of a high school subject that includes the study of linear algebra. For students who do not have this level of mathematics background, it is strongly recommended you first complete 1017SCG Foundation Mathematics. Incompatible: 1201SCG Linear Algebra. NOTE: this course is only offered on-campus, and students are expected to attend exams and weekly classes on campus, in person.
