This course, through an analysis of the application of modern banking and finance theory to the process of the management of financial institutions, adopts a risk-management approach to the issues of structure, regulation, policy formulation and implementation in today's financial institutions, with the particular emphasis on banking sector. Coverage is given to the areas of analysis of financial management and performance under current regulatory environment, interest-rate and liquidity risk management, asset-liability management, and strategic planning.
