A key resource for growth is finance. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate, develop, and implement effective financial growth strategies for growing businesses. The course will cover various topics such as Corporate Venture Capital, Mergers and Acquisitions, Leveraged Buy Outs, Internationalization, and growth funding of new ventures (Series B onwards). This also includes topics of growth planning, financial analysis, funding options, and strategic investments. By the end of the course, students will be able to make informed financial decisions to foster business expansion. As such, this course provides guidelines for scaling startups, known as "scale-ups," to support their rapid and sustainable growth from a financial perspective as well as for existing businesses and SMEs that set out growth objectives, e.g. related to corporate entrepreneurship. The course prepares students to support financial growth initiatives in various organizational contexts, providing them with the tools and knowledge to develop and implement effective financial growth strategies.
