Learning outcomes: Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to describe knowledge and content including: terms related to investment appraisal; understand basic financial mathematical calculation methods; explain static and dynamic investment methods. Skills: to solve financial mathematical problems; to perform static and dynamic investment calculation methods. Competencies: to select the appropriate investment calculation method for the respective application; to interpret the results of these calculation methods; to make investment decisions based on the learned calculation methods, justify these decisions based on the results, and incorporate as well as argue non-financial framework conditions in these decisions. Key teaching/learning activities: Cross-cutting theme Sustainability: Investment calculation methods with case studies for exercises and exams relate exclusively to sustainable projects that include ecological and social responsibility. Cross-cutting theme Digitalization: Financial plans and other exercises or exam tasks are implemented digitally where possible (e.g., MS Excel or similar). Cross-cutting theme Internationalization: Investment calculation methods with case studies for exercises and exams have an international focus and consider accordingly extended risks.
