DRAWING FOR VISUALIZATION AND EXPERIMENTATION

Description

This course enables students to explore drawing as an evolving mode of contemporary art practice and expression within various cultural contexts. The key concepts of drawing and its development will be examined, including a wide range of drawing techniques, materials, functions and approaches. Students will realize the dynamics of drawing as an art form and as a way of communication that goes beyond studio practice, and is capable of being applied to the community-based arts and cultural activities. Medium of instruction (per EdUHK GAO course list): English. EdUHK exchange students are typically limited to a maximum of 5 courses (15 credits) per semester. Most but not all classes at EdUHK are taught in English (EMI); some are taught in Cantonese (CMI) or Putonghua. Some courses may have prerequisites, and registration must be completed via the EdUHK Portal during the published add/drop window. Only the CRNs published in the official GAO EMI/CMI Course List are open to exchange students.
