Description
Contribution to the program: This course is part of a broader reflection on the engineering profession. Its objective is to teach students how to properly present results and develop critical thinking, regardless of the subject or year of study. It also provides an initial approach to the scientific method to address a given problem from an engineering perspective. Content description: The following concepts will be covered: - Scientific method: information research, objective formulation and contextualization, data analysis, error source identification, data communication (written and oral); - Significant figures; - Errors and uncertainties; - Propagation of uncertainty calculations; - Graphs; - Report writing.
