Description

This course is intended for those aiming to obtain a teaching license for the religious subject (Bible studies). Participants conduct a two-week teaching practicum at their assigned schools. Note that only certain students in the teacher training program are required to register for this course, so please confirm the necessity before registering. Participants will be evaluated on their ability to interpret the Bible and communicate its message as a guide for life to junior and senior high school students. This requires not only knowledge of the Bible, Christianity, and religion in general but also insight into contemporary social and cultural trends and issues. These challenges will be examined through the practicum. Please check the 'Faculty of Theology Course Guidelines' for registration requirements. Through the practicum, participants will develop the knowledge, techniques, and mindset necessary for teaching religious subjects (Bible studies). They will also be able to proactively and collaboratively practice diverse religious education necessary for junior and senior high school students living in contemporary Japanese society.
