Description

This course is about expressing and manipulating data in main memory. Students study the data structuring methods such as arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists, trees and graphs. Also using these data structures, students study data processing methods such as sorting, searching and symbol tables. Students are guided to study theory and practice in parallel by making programs for the given problem by themselves. Using data structure techniques taught in this class, students can understand and analyze the difficult problems, exercise the concrete method that can be helpful in problem-solving, and learn about using programming-related tools. Projected Results: 1. can understand and analyze computable problems 2. Programming using multiple languages 3. can model computational steps by using a data structure 4. be able to use programming tools
