Senior Project(II) - Analysis of Legal Case

Description

For students who have completed foundational law courses in the first and second years, including Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and General Principles of Obligations, this course integrates two years of prior learning with advanced third-year legal knowledge. Students learn to study actual court rulings and provide their own interpretations. Beyond interpreting rulings, students are encouraged to observe legal issues encountered in daily life. Working in groups of 1-4, students conduct a year-long research project on a topic of interest and present a report of over 12,000 words in the second semester. Course content includes: 1. Legal methodology: exploring research methods used in legal studies, including legal interpretation, fact analysis, and drawing conclusions; 2. Literature collection and reading: guiding students to use various domestic and international databases and judgment retrieval systems to collect necessary materials; 3. Project writing guidance: thesis format, writing considerations, and citation methods. This is a year-long course; the first semester focuses on literature reading, group formation, and discussions with advisors. Grading is mainly based on advisor evaluation, including discussion participation (10%), project writing progress (30%), literature collection and reading (30%), project format (10%), and regular performance (20%).
