This course examines the dynamic relationship between East Asia and the multifaceted process of globalization. East Asia has undergone rapid economic, political and social transformations. These changes are closely intertwined with the broader forces of globalization – increased economic trade and investment, the spread of new technologies and growing cultural interconnectedness. The course explores how globalization is both impacting and being shaped by the pivotal region of East Asia, impacting the countries’ development trajectories and influencing their roles on the global stage.
