Preparatory Seminar

Description

The Basic Seminar is designed for first-year students who have recently entered university, providing simple guidance on how to proceed with their studies. The course consists of two parts: the first half focuses on study methods, while the second half involves reporting and discussing specified literature. This year's sub-theme for the Basic Seminar is 'The United States.' Participating students will report on books related to the United States in pairs. Additionally, discussions from the eighth session onward will involve selecting a moderator along with the presenters, encouraging students to take an active role in managing the seminar. A hiking event in Chiba Prefecture is planned for April 20 (Sunday) for socializing, conducted jointly with third-year seminars, but participation is optional.
