Description
Knowing: In this module, you will develop foundational knowledge and understanding of essential design skills and principles necessary for a designer in the digital age. You will become familiar with key concepts and theories that underpin the practice of representation and analysis skills in design and recognise when their use might be appropriate, in alignment with professional standards. Acting: Through practical exercises, you will have the opportunity to actively apply this knowledge by experimenting with a diverse range of architectural representation techniques, media, and tools used by creative industries. You will also gain hands-on experience in the application of analytical skills in design. Being: Upon successful completion of this module, you will have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to understand and present design ideas effectively via architectural representations, towards becoming a more effective visual communicator. You will gain confidence in your ability to engage in design iterations, refining and improving your work based on feedback and critical reflection. You will be able to fully apply this learning to design projects in your second year of studies.
