History of the Roman Republic
Description
Roman history from the legendary regal period (753 BCE) to the death of Julius Caesar and the Battle of Actium (31 BCE). Emphasis on social and political developments including state formation and Mediterranean expansion. Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Cross-Listing(s): HIST 2Q96 and ITAL 2Q96 Course Notes: CLAS 1P92 is recommended. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in CLAS (HIST/ITAL) 3P05. Session Availability: Fall
