About Alexandria University
Alexandria University is a public university in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1938 as a satellite of Fouad University (the name of Cairo University at the time), becoming an independent entity in 1942. It is now the second largest university in Egypt and a major center of education and research in the Arab world. Alexandria University is also known as جامعة الإسكندرية and AU.
