Description

In the Department of Food and Nutrition, students learn the importance of eating through food science, nutrition, and biochemistry. This "Life Sciences" course serves as a comprehensive review of these subjects. It covers compounds constituting the human body, the roles of the five major nutrients, genetic information, and more. It also serves as an effective preparation for the Nutritionist Proficiency Certification Exam held annually in December by the Nutritionist Training Facility Association. This course equips students with specialized knowledge and skills necessary for professionals in food and health (Diploma Policy ③) and teaches them to apply this knowledge to discuss nutrition and health maintenance and promotion in real life and solve problems that may arise in the field (Diploma Policy ⑥).
